Environmentalism - A viable perspective

A topic I've grown to love and understand. Environmentalism is a personal outlook on a person's life. Another way to describe it is, Green Architecture. Deciding for yourself how, when and why you will do things to help preserve certain conditions for the good of the environment around you. How will you buy, grow, use (and reuse) each object or resource introduced into your environment. It is not a process to be ordered and governed by public laws attempting to control everyday activities of the general populace. There are human activities that concern the public at large scale that do enter into the domain of public governance but your view of the environment is yours and yours alone.
It's a concept that takes inspiration from nature to create low-impact, flexible, and healthy settings. According to this philosophy ,green buildings are constructed. They are planned, built, and run with an emphasis on energy conservation, obtaining eco-friendly/ recycled materials, and protecting the area's biodiversity.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building types, LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED has been the industry standard for some time in the US, but there’s also been grumbling in the industry about how energy efficiency can devolve into an expensive checklist by pursuing such certifications.

The success of the architecture is in part judged by the extent to which environmental design aspects informing the overall design are integrated with other seemingly competing priorities without compromise to either.
